Collaborate with the global IC design and marketing teams to identify and develop plans to address key technology challenges arising from current product development and/or future product road mapping efforts.
Design test vehicles in a variety of active device technologies to benchmark the performance of these technologies as well as the accuracy and maturity of the device models and PDK. Test vehicles may include:
  • RF/Microwave/mmW power amplifiers
  • RF/Microwave/mmW switches
  • RF/Microwave/mmW low-noise amplifiers
Specify and contribute to the development of test routines required to assess test vehicle performance and matching of measured data to modeled data. Design test infrastructure, such as multi-layer printed circuit boards, necessary to facilitate performance and/or reliability testing of test vehicles.
Produce reports summarizing the conclusions at each phase (e.g. design, simulation, layout, test). Identify sources of error contributing to discrepancies between measured and modeled data. Present findings internally and as feedback to external foundries.
