RGP is seeking a skilled Fund Accounting Consultant to support our client with various accounting functions. This is a project-based role, ideal for an experienced fund accountant with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently. The consultant will be responsible for monthly and quarterly entries, maintaining Excel workbooks for each fund, generating financial statements, and... facilitating annual audits for 2024.
What you will work on
• Manage inflows and outflows related to underlying properties, including equity pick-up for fund investors.
• Maintain and update excel tracking workbooks linked to financial statements; generate quarterly financial statements for investors.
• Maintain the JD Edwards General Ledger (G/L).
• Assist in facilitating annual audits for 2024, working closely with the long-time audit firm.
• Support the Controller in simplifying journal entry processes, considering the potential obsolescence of the A/R module for inactive funds.
• Perform regular cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
What you will bring
• Proven experience as a fund accountant, preferably with exposure to multiple funds and complex transactions.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with JD Edwards E1 is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to create and interpret financial statements.
• Experience in supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Pay Range: $60-$70/hr., DOE
