The position provides support to the compliance department by ensuring agents are in compliance with section 352 of the USA PATRIOT Act, the proceeds of crime (Money laundering and terrorism Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and internal policies and procedures. Conducts assessments of agent's compliance program and provides AML training to agents and their employees. Serves as an active team member in supporting department's growth and goals to ensure sound operational understanding and implementation of operational procedures. Makes recommendations to compliance officer on organization and workflow of Agent compliance review program.Responsibilities:• Ensure agents are in compliance with section 352 of the USA PATRIOT Act, the proceeds of crime (Money laundering and terrorism Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and internal policies and procedures.• Assess the agent’s knowledge of the BSA and other AML regulations.• Conduct assessments of the agent's compliance program and provides AML training to agents and their employees.• Serve as an active team member in supporting department's growth and goals to ensure sound operational understanding and implementation of operational procedures.• Recommend compliance officer on organization and workflow of Agent compliance review program.• Examine and evaluates Agent’s Compliance program to ensure compliance with section 352 of the USA PATRIOT Act.• Perform in-depth analysis of agent consumer transactions using excel pivot tables to detect unusual /suspicious activity and ensure that transactions are withing expected transaction amounts to Agent’s main country corridor.• Provide feedback on how and when report suspicious activity reports (SAR’s) for suspicious activity detected during the review and currency transactions reports (CTR’s)• Provide AML/BSA training and consumer protection training to the agent owner, agent compliance officer, RIA’s Store employees and agent employees.• Prepare and submit final report• Follow up on outstanding issues and recommendations.• Review and update agent files to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.• Will be in charge of conducting a stress test and attempt to place a transaction in order to ensure our agents are in compliance with all RIA’s policies and procedures.• Continue to increase knowledge of relevant anti money laundering laws and regulations.• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the management team.Qualifications:• Ability to travel at least one or two weeks domestically in the US, including Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.• Remote opportunity to work from home or corporate office 50% of the time.• Fluent in English and Spanish• Proficient in Office platform, word, excel and power point.• Self-starter, analytical skills, organized and able to meet deadlines.• Minimum of one year in AML compliance related activities.• Knowledge of money laundering compliance requirements for service businesses.• At least two years of experience in compliance and financial service companies.Benefits: Our package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K, employee stock options, paid time off, HSA/FSA, short-term/long-term disability, tuition assistance, growth opportunities, and much more.Salary: The base range in for this position is $25.00 hourly. Actual starting compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, and skills.
