Lead UX Designer: Pre-Ownership Experience at Rivian in Irvine, CA

The role: As a Design Lead, you will drive and work as part of the team that establishes our preowners as members of our community that belong from the beginning- through our configurator, educational tools, stories, purchase, and preparation for ownership tools. What you'll be doing: You'll be working with your team to understand what our community needs and wants to take the step towards preorder and prepare for ownership. Our purpose is to nurture our relationships, cultivate growth, and create comfort, clarity, and structure for their purchase, as well as understand and define our owners' digital ecosystem across platforms with a special interest in responsive web. Day to day you'll be working cross functionally with partners in design, engineering, and product to research, define, design and continually push features that build towards a shared vision. What you'll need: Product designer with 7 years experience Great communication skills and a history of teamwork and collaboration Experience working across research, UX and visual design. Experience working in partnership with product, engineering and business leads. Experience working on multi-team initiatives Experience working with and designing for mobile products. Comfortable with defining user experience strategies and roadmaps Comfortable leading a small team of designers A desire to get into the field and learn first hand Ability to guide projects from conception through to launch The kind of designer you are: You put people first, ego last You're not afraid to ask why.
