Senior Engineering Manager, Sharing

You will lead the Sharing pod inside the User Connections team, creating the ability for Roblox users to capture and share content with each other across many surfaces and multiple media types. You will work closely with the entire Connections team, as well as many other teams and groups around the company. This team is building 0-1 features and requires extensive coordination with product manager, design, engineering, and data scientists.

• Set the Bar: Establish and maintain a high standard for technical excellence. Ensure your team delivers reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that adhere to Roblox's engineering principles.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Plan Strategically: Contribute to the overall capture and sharing strategy. Find opportunities for innovation and growth, and prioritize projects that deliver the most value to our users.
• Continuously Improve: Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team. Encourage experimentation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of new technologies.

You Have: 

• Proven experience as a leader who has led successful engineering teams building new features.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to break down complex problems into component parts, and the project management skills to then drive the project to completion.
• Long-term thinking mindset  and know how to take a few shortcuts to launch systems in a timely manner in order to get user feedback to make better long-term plans.
• Experience in building consumer-facing applications.
