Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Robotics Engineer to help us advance the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • The Robotics Engineer contributes to conceptualizing, designing, building, testing, and demonstrating robot prototypes, in dynamic simulation, controlled lab settings, hardware-in-the-loop aircraft simulations, and in flight on full-scale aircraft.
  • Position is available for both hardware and software-oriented roboticists.

Minimum Requirements

  • Seeking 0–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a US Person (citizen or permanent resident).
  • Candidates must have demonstrated interest and ability to design and build robots.
  • Candidates must have excellence in at least one of the following, and a working knowledge or interest in a majority of the others: Real-time computation, Power electronics, Trajectory planning, Electromechanical system design, Machine vision, Rapid prototyping, Dynamic simulation, Tactile sensing, Math, Low-level motor control, Acceptance testing of physical robot hardware, Real-time control of multi-DOF robots, Software engineering, Communication protocols, Embedded systems.

Preferred Requirements

  • Candidates should have a zeal for working on high-functioning and diverse teams and for making real systems work.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally required to travel.
  • Occasionally required to work non-business hours to support experiments and travel to customer sites.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $62,000.00 to $110,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $75,000.00 to $134,000.00
