The Robotics Program Director will bring strength in strategy, contract research and devlopment, bid and proposal and operations. We seek an individual with accomplishments in academics, government, and/or industry with experience winning and executing R&D projects for DARPA, IARPA or similar agencies. Responsibilities:
Based within our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, the Robotics Program Director will be chartered with managing a portfolio of robotics technology projects while driving and fostering business development relationships with government and commercial organizations.
In this leadership role, the successful candidate will:

Act as the strategic director of research for Robotics

Function as the General Manager

Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a high-level U.S. government security clearance.

Experience proposing, winning, and leading DARPA, IARPA or other Government R&D projects, and successful commercialization of robotics technology.

Ph.D. or MS in robotics, AI, or Machine Learning with 10 years’ experience is required.

Deep understanding and application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Robotic capabilities

Successful profit and loss management experience.

Track record of accomplishment, and demonstrable success in leadership, strategic thinking, metrics driven outcomes, systems and innovation.

Proven track record building, mentoring and scaling world-class R&D teams.

Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
The salary range is: $154,080-$229,000. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
