Robotics Software Engineer

Job Title: Robotics Software Engineer

Job Summary:

The Robotic Software Engineer who will assist us with design, development and installation of software solutions. Duties will include development, writing code, and documenting functionality.

Build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Organize full lifecycle software development
  • Prepare specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Prepare software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Organize documenting and maintenance of software functionality
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
  • Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
  • Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:


  • 2+ years' experience of working on a Computer Software Engineer or Software Developer (http://link...) position
  • Significant experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework, such as JSF, Wicket, GWT or Spring MVC
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:


  • Good knowledge to develop software in C, C++, C#, Java or other selected languages
  • Experience in documenting requirements and specifications
  • Close familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology and release processes

Education/Experience:


  • BS in EE/CS or related field
  • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to design, implement, and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) that align with our partners' SLA requirements.
  • Develop and refine incident management processes, including incident response, postmortem analysis, and root cause investigation.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity planning, proactively identifying potential issues and working with the DevOps team to address them.
  • Enhance and maintain observability across the entire system, including logging, monitoring, and tracing tools.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration of SRE best practices into the existing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure that reliability, availability, and performance considerations are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
  • Advocate for and educate internal teams on SRE best practices and principles, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, providing rapid response and resolution to system incidents and outages.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role, with a focus on SRE principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, etc.) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with best practices in software development, including CI/CD, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team.

The pay range is $120K-$215K. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience
