Job Description

The client is seeking a skilled and experienced Product Designer to join their growing team on a contract basis. In this role, the candidate will work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to design intuitive and visually compelling web software. The candidate will take ownership of product workflows, creating responsive desktop designs that meet the needs of users while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

The candidate should have a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing product workflows and responsive web applications. They thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about solving complex design challenges with innovative and user-focused solutions.

Job Requirements

Experience

- 5+ years of relevant work experience in product design, with a strong focus on designing product workflows and responsive desktop web applications.

- A robust portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work for web software (link required).

Communication

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders and team members.

- Effectively collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure design implementation aligns with the vision.

- Actively seek feedback and provide constructive critiques.

Ownership & Collaboration

- Self-starter, able to manage and prioritize multiple projects independently.

- Take full ownership of the design process, from ideation to implementation.

- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, especially product and development teams, to align designs with technical feasibility and business goals.

- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.

Design Skills

- Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

- Experience creating detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

- Expertise in designing responsive layouts and desktop-first designs that work seamlessly across devices.

- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design workflows.

- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring designs are pixel-perfect and align with branding guidelines.

Technical Skills

- Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS) and how design translates into code.

- Experience working with developers to deliver scalable, responsive, and accessible designs.

- Strong knowledge of modern web design trends and tools.
