Business Applications Engineer (Contract)

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Applications Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Bath. This exciting opportunity will allow you to play a crucial role in supporting our Dynamics 365 implementation across our global sites.

• Provide central administration for Dynamics 365 (FinOps, CE, HR) systems
• Manage user access and security roles within the D365 environment
• Implement and maintain security and audit requirements
• Assist with system updates and database management
• Oversee configuration management for D365 applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with connected systems
• Create comprehensive support documentation for end-users and IT staff
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of business applications
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in service delivery
• Participate in projects related to D365 implementation and optimisation
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and associated technologies

• Proven experience supporting D365 business applications in an enterprise IT environment
• Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and associated technologies (e.g., Azure, Lifecycle Services)
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification
• Ability to produce accurate and concise technical documentation
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in prioritising work across multiple domains (e.g., business as usual, projects, and audits)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent time management and organisational skills

Desirable qualifications:

• ITIL and/or COBIT qualification
• Experience with IT control frameworks
• Familiarity with IT Service Management toolsets such as ServiceNow
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery
