Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Job Summary:Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) with demonstrated project management skills who will be closely accountable for ensuring overall supplier performance. You must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management.You will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans. The MPM serves as the leader for all program's supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. You are also responsible for the development, coordination, and follow through of all program material strategies, supply chain goals, and company goals. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert impact and have an effect on the overall goals and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team.The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.This position is an onsite role.Responsibilities to Anticipate:• Objective progress reports of execution against strategy key performance indicators (cost, schedule, technology, etc.)• Providing comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities, ensuring compliance for the programs, and tailoring when applicable.• Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.• Creates, manages, and implements material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP).• Provides comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable.• Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc. Develop, lead, and implement common schedule creation, supply chain proposal activities, and risk/opportunity plans to meet program goals.• Member of program office that participates in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Program Change Control Board (PCCB), Risk & Opportunity Review Board (RORB), and Engineering Review Board (ERB).Basic Qualifications:• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience• Prior work experience with financial budgets and forecasts• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearancePreferred Qualifications:• EVMS, Earned Value certification or equivalent• Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project)• Experience leading, communicating and presenting to all levels of Management and senior leadership• Experience in leading cross-functional teams• Experience supporting/leading proposal efforts• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Experience working with suppliers on development efforts• Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry.• Ability to balance reasonable thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs• Working experience as a Cost Account ManagerWhat We Offer:Whether you're just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
