Job DescriptionPosition: Accounts Receivable SpecialistLocation: Lake Success, NYType: Full TimeRate: $55k to $62k/Per AnnumJob Description:This role involves overseeing the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and resolution of customer billing discrepancies. We are looking for an individual with meticulous attention to detail, outstanding communication abilities, and a proactive mindset towards resolving discrepancies.Responsibilitie• s:Issue invoices/bills to clients promptly and accuratel• y.Pursue outstanding invoices/bills, ensuring timely collection• s.Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to guarantee accurate and complete recording of payment• s.Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or dispute• s.Address billing inquiries from clients and resolve payment issues effectivel• y.Monitor clients' accounts for overdue payments and take appropriate collection measure• llaborate with legal and business teams to address client billing concern• s.Generate aging reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable statu• s.Support month-end closing procedures and contribute to financial audit• s.Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation of all accounts receivable activities.Requiremen• ts:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferre• d).Proven track record (5+ years) as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar ro• le.Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practic• es.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBook• s).Experience with Centrebase (or equivalent legal billing platfor• m).Excellent communication and interpersonal skil• ls.Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environme• nt.Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in data entry and record-keepi• ng.Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve client issu• es.Familiarity with collection techniques and negotiation skil• ls.Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
