The Market Data and Commission Management Analyst position plays a crucial role in supporting Market Data and Research Services (MDS), managing soft dollar commissions, and handling Broker Vote functions. This role involves extensive interaction with senior management, investment staff, trading teams, and external brokers and service providers. Key duties include overseeing MDS procurement and analysis, negotiating contracts, processing invoices, managing financial forecasting and accruals, and maintaining vendor relationships. Additionally, the analyst will manage soft dollar commissions, handle broker votes, oversee third-party budgets, and provide support across various functional areas.Ideal candidates should have a BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Market Data Services, Middle/Back Office, or Commission Management, preferably in the buy-side sector. Strong proficiency in MS Excel, experience with contract analysis and invoice management, and the ability to analyze and present complex data are essential. Knowledge of equity trade life cycles, MDS products, and SEC Rule 28e is a plus. The role requires a motivated individual who is eager to learn and can handle diverse responsibilities within a small team.
