RWE Clean Energy, LLCTo start as soon as possible, full time, permanentFunctional area: Business DevelopmentRemuneration: ExemptThe Associate, Business Development role for theDevelopment East team will play a crucial role in enhancing the region’s growth and market competitiveness. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, this position focuses on expanding the pipeline through thorough research, a proactive M&A strategy, and strong relationship building. The associate's contributions will be pivotal in driving the team's success and securing a competitive advantage in the market.Responsibilities:• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external consultants to monitor market conditions and help formulate development strategy for the region across different technologies (wind, BESS and PV)• Assist in implementing the strategy on the M&A side by proactive market research and relationship building with external stakeholders• Manage various workstreams necessary for the successful execution of an acquisition or divestment transaction, including management of due diligence and competitive M&A process logistics• Manage transaction approvals across multiple internal stakeholders• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both external and internal stakeholders• Work collaboratively across RWE business teams related to financial modeling and transaction execution• Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentation materials to be used for decision making, marketing, reporting, etc.• Assist other parts of the M&A and business strategy on ad hoc projectsQualificatons:• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as business, finance or environmental studies• Minimum of 1 year experience in a role with emphasis on due diligence, business development or energy project development (required)• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships• Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams• Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines• Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables• Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team• Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities• Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsPay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $69,000 - $100,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
