Senior Product Designer, Design System

Remote position within Argentina, only. Contract Length: 6 months with potential for extension

Ryz is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer with Design System experience to join one of our valued clients—a globally recognized leader in digital sports experiences. Our client is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards.

In this role you will play a crucial role in evolving and maintaining their design system, ultimately enhancing the user experience across their mobile applications. This role requires a deep understanding of design systems, a strong mobile-first mindset, and ideally, experience with interactive gaming design principles.

What You’ll Do:

- Lead the evolution and maintenance of our client’s existing design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all mobile platforms (iOS and Android). 

- Design and implement a robust theming system within the design system, allowing for easy customization and branding across different apps while maintaining a unified core experience. 

- Design, develop, and document reusable UI components and patterns within the design system, focusing on accessibility, performance, and multi-theme support. 

- Develop strategies and implement solutions to ensure the design system can effectively scale and support the unique needs of each of our six mobile applications while minimizing redundancy and maximizing reusability. 

- Leverage a deep understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and platform-specific guidelines (Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines) to create intuitive and engaging mobile experiences. 

- Ensure that the design system aligns with our client’s brand guidelines and visual identity.

- If applicable: Apply knowledge of interactive design principles to enhance user engagement within their mobile applications, especially if related to game-like features

What We’re Looking For:

- 5+ years of product design experience with a proven track record of working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

- A strong portfolio showcasing your design system work, mobile app designs, and ideally, any interactive gaming-related projects. 

- Demonstrable experience building, maintaining, and scaling design systems in Figma.

- Deep understanding of mobile design principles and platform-specific guidelines (iOS and Android).

- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and experience designing for users with disabilities.

- Preferred: Experience applying game design principles to enhance user engagement.
