Team Leader - S.H.E
Location: Raeford NC
8 hr Day shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Pay Rate: $28.13 | Weekly pay period

Background & Purpose of the Job:
At Unilever – Raeford, we believe in developing talent and leading through our autonomous ways of working. As one team, we will achieve endless possibilities! The Raeford facility is a world-class personal care manufacturing site, utilizing digital tools to be a lighthouse factory globally.
The Team Leader - S.H.E will drive the factory safety performance of the entire factory (all shifts, all areas) into a proactive culture using WCM operating framework
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
The right applicant will have an immense passion for our factory, a commitment to innovation and completion of tasks, and a very strong factory floor presence.
  • Lead implementation of compliance in multiple areas per state law, federal law, and Unilever guidelines (i.e.: work permits, confined spaces, LOTO, ladders, guarding, extinguishers, safety showers, etc.)
  • Accountable for the SHE performance of the site across all shifts. This requires connecting appropriate resources for issue resolution, and interfacing with all other departments to ensure efficient operation to meet plant goals.
  • Maintaining and submitting safety, accident, environmental and industrial hygiene files and records as required
  • Manage the site SDS system, and enter materials as needed
  • Organize/Conduct safety training, and coordinate occupational health activities
  • Interface with security to ensure post orders are being followed and audited, daily fire system checks
  • Inspects or tours organization facilities routinely to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, and recommends corrective or preventative measures
  • Prepares/implements emergency response plans
  • Provide expertise, coaching, and guidance during SHE investigations
  • Conducting safety audits / risk assessments on personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Analyze, score, and track completion of incident investigations and countermeasures
  • Track site metrics, and apply findings across multiple reporting outlets
  • Leading risk assessment teams for all areas of the factory
  • Leading focused improvement projects, and motivating cross functional teams towards common goals
  • Create and track Kaizens from safety improvements made across the site.
  • Co-Leader of the UMS Safety Pillar
  • Responsible for the following GXP. This includes but is not limited to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Labor Practices (GLP), and Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
  • All other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need To Succeed
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing operation and a strong technical skill set. Previous maintenance experience or a technical education is a plus.
  • Prior experience in developing and conducting engaging safety training, and safety training strategies.
  • Proven track record of safety engagement and improvements that demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, and a bias for action
