Overview SageSure has an opportunity for a skilled Associate Underwriter to thrive at our fast-growing company. Qualified candidates for this position will enhance their decision-making skills every day, including the use of underwriting judgement, delegated underwriting authority, and support of Underwriting team members.Core Responsibilities• Work Service Desk Portal Tickets: e.g., Post-Inspection reinstatement requests• Underwrite property inspections based on Stack Codes, and review Scrubbed Inspections to ensure previous conditions were resolved• Work High Priority Service Portal Tickets to verify the producers are following guidelines/authority, as well as new business referrals based on authority.• Review Carrier Claim Reports and provide Underwriters with detailed claim information• Perform Renewal Underwriting Reviews of roof inspections and loss history, and provide Underwriters with detailed renewal informationRequirements• 2 years of Customer Service and/or Underwriting Support experience, with working knowledge of insurance software and MS Office Suite• Ability to work independently and as a team member while demonstrating solid analytical and decision-making skills• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills• Thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environment, using technology to achieve efficiencies• Working knowledge of SageSure & partner systems is a plus, including IPC Manager , Inspection Vendors, Carrier Claim Sites, MSB Express, Confluence• Bachelor's degree in related field is a plusAbout SageSure:As a Best Places to Work in Insurance Recipient for four years in a row (2020-2023), SageSure, one of the largest residential property insurance managing general underwriter (MGU) in the United States, is pioneering ways people protect their American Dream.A leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, SageSure was founded in 2009 to deliver reliable products, exceptional customer experiences, and strong underwriting results in challenging insurance markets.
