Summary:
Responsible for providing support to the sales organization by acting as a brand expert and champion inside the organization with occasional support in the field in various capacities. Facilitates high-level product knowledge and professional development classes to employees at all levels internally and at our retail partner stores and summits. Acts as a brand ambassador and provides on-site support at events and hosts virtual education classes (BGTV).

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):
  • Must maintain most up-to-date product knowledge
  • Facilitate biometric screenings and product fittings for R&D data collection
  • Facilitate Player Development portion of new hire orientations @ The Rock and virtually when needed

o Product knowledge and fitting process

o Walking tour in partnership with HCC quarterly (or ad hoc as needed)

  • New product launch train ups on-site and virtual
o All-hands product introductions @ The Rock

o In-depth product training for new products within the CX team

  • Lead CX Trainer
o Works with CX Management and Player Development team to develop training curricula for online support, fittings, and upselling

o Responsible for hosting continuous training with the CX team internally

o May present virtual trainings for retail partner CX teams

  • In collaboration with player development team, works on trainings (pulse learnings or Lunch & Learns) for sales & CX organizations with insights from our end-users
o Works in partnership with marketing on FAQs

  • Works cross-functionally with many departments to close feedback loop with insights from end-users
o Web/UX/UI Teams

o Merchandising & Product Development

o Marketing & Communications

  • Back-up for CX/WOW team member if coverage is needed
  • Assists with curriculum development
o Assists in building virtual learnings

  • Occasionally call on retail partner stores to conduct high-level sales training seminars for retail sales associates in groups ranging in size up to 50+ persons. Will include both classroom and sometimes individual meeting formats.
  • Conducts individual one-on-one hands-on training, sparring, and coaching when applicable or part of a teammates performance improvement plan
  • Delivering effective, inspiring presentations both in person and sometimes via BGTV (Bedgear Television) or local media outlets
  • Participate as brand champion at company tradeshows and/or marketing events at request of management to promote awareness of company and products
  • Sleep coach reporting for R&D fittings, store visits, events, etc. Includes but is not limited to:
o Weekly fitting counts

o Take pictures of POP/Display items during in-store visits

o Provide recommendations for merchandising opportunities

o Evaluate competition floor space compared to ours and provide insights to account management and sales managers

o Identify open spaces for marketing collateral opportunities (i.e., Blank walls for posters/banners, windows for treatments, etc.)

o Updating SharePoint with reports after store visits

  • Relay training opportunities to Director - Player Development based off observations
  • Assist in additional duties as requested
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Must have dependable personal vehicle with credible insurance coverage and valid driver's license
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Travel required at least 10% of time
  • Ability and willingness to work on occasion a few weekends and major retail holidays
Education/Experience/License Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience delivering engaging and impactful presentations to groups of all sizes
  • Must have a clean and valid driver's license
  • Home furnishings/retail mattress experience is highly preferred but not required
  • Experience working autonomously at times
  • Experience assembling training programs
  • Proven ability to development meaningful relationships and connect with various audiences
