Our Sales Associate position is a great opportunity for individuals looking to begin their sales career. In this role you will join our exciting and robust “Ramp Onboarding” program for new hires into the Sales and Account Management organization.
The Sales Associate role will assist on all sales and revenue generating activities for LSEG’s accounts. They will support deals aligned to specific workflows and customer types as well as serve accounts within a defined territory. The role works in close partnership with internal stakeholders including Account Managers, Global Business Directors, Group Strategic Relationship Director, Sales Specialists, Customer Success, and other key functions to proactively drive gross sales and revenue initiatives.

Visibility to & Training from Senior Team Leaders: You can expect a high level of exposure to multiple cross-functional teams and senior leaders within the organization while having fast tracked training and professional development through hands on learning, specifically designed curriculum and mentorship.

Customization of Experience: You will start by joining an eight-week virtual program and a one-week live experience where the program allows each new joiner to receive a customized experience based on their role and specialism depth. The Ramp Onboarding program includes details on our sales methodology, sales process and our typical buyer’s journey.

Gamification: The program is full of relevant assignments, knowledge checks, and an exciting virtual gamified Sales Simulation in the final week to practice what has been learned during the entire program.

Learning on the Job is Encouraged: Additionally, you will learn all aspects of the financial markets: industry principles, market players and asset classes.

Top-Down Investment: Finally, the program is supported by our Executive Committee and other Senior Leaders including our CEO, CFO, COO and many others who often join us for fireside chats to share their career experiences, thoughts on developing talent, and provide details on vision and strategy as we look ahead into the future.

Social Interaction Prioritized: You'll have the opportunity to interact with clients, making valuable contributions by taking part in sales campaigns, promoting product features and prospecting for new business. Hands-on individual and group projects will allow you to experience how your full-time career could evolve.

Cross-Department Interactions: As an international company, our broader sales organization consists of several key teams that play vital roles in the overall client journey. You will have an opportunity to work closely and form partnerships with these teams consisting of sales, account management, customer success, solutions consulting and business development. You will be joining a cohort of other senior associates across the above various departments, where you will have the opportunity to participate in local community engagements and networking events.

Upward Mobility: There are multiple opportunities to further your career across the department or the company, with the majority of account manager associates progressing towards opportunities in our strategic accounts teams or partnership roles. You could also go on to take up a Leadership position, or take on a more specialized sales role.
Responsibilities for the Sales Associate role include:

Help structure, negotiate, and close deals

Proactively identify pipeline opportunities and drive positive sales and revenue growth in their assigned territory by analyzing market reports

Proactively identify any potential threats to the current book of business and drive retention

Utilize senior staff for learning and guidance

Ensure overall health and efficiency of account relationship

Assist the Account Manager with:

Saleforce updates and hygiene
-
Liaising with customer success manager to have a full view of adds and deletes across all desktop products

Preparing usage reports and analysis that assist the account team with contract renewals conversation

Driving specific sales / retention campaigns as requested by the different business owners

Gathering information / creating presentations for specific Account Meetings
Qualifications for the Sales Associate role:

Demonstrated interest and/or experience in a financial services, sales, or relationship management role

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize different projects and stay on schedule

Curiosity and eagerness to learn the financial markets and technologies

Be able to share new ideas and way of thinking

Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce (CRM)

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York City applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $55,700 - $103,400.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, including city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our variable incentive compensation plan. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience. All roles are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG benefits program, more information & details will be provided at time of offer.
