Who We Want:

Bazaarvoice is looking for a Sales Commissions Accountant who will work to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of commissions accounting and processes and help enable our sales organization to be even more successful.
The Sales Commissions Accountant will be a key part of the accounting and commissions team responsible for supporting the global sales organizations by assisting with timely and accurate commission processing. This role will work cross functionally with Accounting, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, HR, and Payroll on all elements regarding the commissions process.

What you'll be doing:

    • Prepare monthly accruals related to sales commissions and client success bonus
    • Responsible for monthly journal entry preparation related to sales commissions and provide monthly reconciliations
    • Administrator for capitalized commissions platform and related monthly processes
    • Support the company’s sales and client success teams consisting of 400+ employees located throughout North America, Europe, and Australia
    • Manage day-to-day operations of the commission management application, Xactly Incent
    • Assist with monthly commission payments processing and preparation
    • Research and resolve commission-related inquiries from the Sales teams including access issues with Xactly Incent, bookings disputes, splits between sales teams and regions, quota credit clarifications, etc.
    • Provide guidance and training to sales teams on commissions plan structures, reports, policy, and other relevant processes
    • Drive business process improvements and initiatives

Necessary skills and experience:

    • Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in accounting preferred
    • At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably for a SaaS technology or IT related company
    • Expertise in MS Excel– experience with pivot tables, complex formulas, lookup functions, etc.
    • Experience working with financial applications (NetSuite, Xactly, and Salesforce preferred)
    • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments and supporting complex programs
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and set priorities with minimal direct supervision
    • Excellent analytical skills, disciplined attention to detail, highly organized and thorough
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
