Sales Development Manager

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our Sales department.

As a Sales Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to actively manage a group of Sales Development Representatives with a focus on developing talent and driving the team to exceed its sales goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of direct management of a high-performing software sales or SaaS Sales development (sales development) or sales team or 2+ years of exceeding quota in a high-volume sales role, working with SMB and/or mid-market customers
  • Analytical in nature (our clients and partners are all in an ROI driven industry), with a track record of using data to drive strategic decision making
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Sales Development Manager on our Sales Development team, you will:

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of messaging and prospecting tactics of your team using an evolving set of objective and subjective KPIs
  • Leverage understanding of messaging, prospecting tactics and KPIs to coach and train reps to better position them to hit weekly/monthly/quarterly goals
  • Meet and exceed your team’s targets while iterating upon a scalable process to achieve long term growth
  • Provide leadership and direction for a team of 8+ Sales development representatives in the SMB and mid-market segment
  • Coach and assist the Sales Development team to source and engage with high priority prospects while understanding the buyer personas and their industry
  • Contribute thought leadership, ideas and perspective within sales leadership conversations and meetings while also positively influencing SDRs and the greater sales team
  • Holds self and others accountable to commitments and high standards
  • Work closely with other Sales leadership to improve alignment between Sales and Sales Development, performance of individual SDRs and operational efficiency
  • Takes a collaborative approach to coaching and managing to encourage SDRs to take ownership of their own performance and career trajectory
  • Collaborate with marketing, client success, client operations, product, and business operations teams on cross-functional initiatives to drive company growth
  • Participate in development of internal and external messaging, including iteration of value propositions and objection handling for the Sales development team
  • Develop and lead training on a weekly basis to reinforce best practices

  • The base pay for this position is targeted at $75,000 per year. Projected variable compensation of $85,000 will be provided as part of the total compensation package should you hit all of your agreed upon sales targets
