Sales Development Representative - Denver or Austin

Salary Range: $45,000 + $22,500 Target Commission ($21.63 Hourly Base - Overtime Eligible)

SDRs are responsible for connecting with prospects who may have interest in Ping or have downloaded Ping related content or materials. The SDR will prioritize leads and accounts, research leads and contacts, craft personalized messaging, and deliver said message through a variety of channels (e.g., phone, email, LinkedIn, video, etc., then set up a meeting with an Account Executive.

SDRs are expected to be in the role for at least one year to become a “master prospector” before moving on to Inside Sales positions. There is a clear path to sales if you are looking to be a seller for the leader of IAM in the tech industry but it’s not the only path. This is a great place to start your career.

SCHEDULE/OFFICE POLICY

  • REMOTE Monday and Friday
  • IN-OFFICE Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

You will:


  • Follow up on a substantial volume of inbound and outbound leads via phone and email to progress prospects further into Ping’s sales process
  • Make 50+ Cold Calls per day
  • Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for Account Executives
  • Research contacts and generate interest through discovery calls and email campaigns
  • Demo and trial products with potential customers
  • Utilize active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how Ping can solve them
  • Consistently achieve quota by hitting call, email, and meeting targets
  • Use and maintain Salesforce.com to keep data accurate
  • Willingness to collaborate with other members of the sales organization to drive deals forward

You have:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate different systems and tools and follow process
  • Highly motivated and driven individual who thrives working towards monthly and quarterly quotas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Critical thinking skills, creativity, and resslilance highly valued
  • Bonus: experience with sales and/or similar roles as well as CRM and prospecting techolnology, e.g., Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Nav, ZoomInfo, etc.

Career Path:

  • Onboarding is 30 days and you will be given a checklist of tasks, lessons, shadowing, and certifications to complete
  • You will spend about three months on the inbound team before moving to the outbound team to help you learn about our process, our products and solutions, Ideal Customers, target personas, etc.
  • Outbound training begins during your last month on Inbound where you’ll do some hybrid work. You’ll then have another 30 days ramp cycle and a reduced quota to get started on prospecting and building relationships with the given Account Executives
  • You will be able to master the outbounding prospecting effort in 9-12 months before being considered for the Inside Sales Representative role
  • The ISR role is a hybrid between SDR and being a seller where you will be paired with top sellers in the company in order to learn Ping’s sales cycle
  • After ~1.5 years in the ISR role, you will be considered for the Account Manager position under the Growth Sales Team by completing the ISR checklist and interview process
    • please note that we have additional career paths into other customer facing roles or back office functions!
