Sales Development Representative - Enterprise Software

Location: This is a hybrid based opportunity (3 days in our Austin, TX Office; 2 days remote).

Our SDRs are the first point of contact in the sales process when engaging with prospective customers at Couchbase. As an SDR, you will be in charge of identifying business opportunities for our enterprise software team. The SDRs' responsibilities will be managing outbounding and inbounding through different touchpoints via phone, email, and LinkedIn.

The Sales Development Representative team is a crucial component of Couchbase’s sales strategy and success. Training and development of our SDRs are the foundation of building our great team, where we set you up for success in this role. We have invested in industry-leading tools to help fuel the success of the SDR team, like Zoominfo, Outreach, TechTarget, Salesforce, etc. There is always support from our sales enablement team, and 1:1 coaching with managers and team leads. Top performers will have the opportunity to transition to a Mid - Market Sales Representative, which has six-figure earning potential.

Day to Day:

    • Work with the Enterprise Sales team to identify potential business opportunities
    • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
    • Develop and execute inbound and outbound campaigns/strategies via phone, email, and other mediums like LinkedIn
    • Achieve monthly quotas + daily KPIs of a minimum of 50 calls a day
    • Qualify outbound opportunities and develop a strong pipeline
    • Manage all inbound leads in assigned territory consistently, and convert them into qualified opportunities
    • Meet or exceed sales quota consistently
    • Participate in an enhanced career path and training program, preparing you to be a Mid-Market Sales Representative

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Hunter mentality who is eager to produce high potential opportunities and have a positive attitude while doing so
    • Ability to actively listen and objection handle on calls with executives, technical leads, and developers
    • Maintaining follow up conversations with prospective customers and well written communication
    • Competitive, motivated, and ability for team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong track record of performance in a previous sales role
    • Possess strong communications and interpersonal skills, with an engaging personality
    • Strong track record of performance in a previous sales role
    • Passionate about disruptive technology
    • Salesforce experience would be preferable
    • Spanish speaking is a bonus
    • Bachelor’s Degree
