MasterControl is growing rapidly and recruiting a Sales Development Representative for our Utah based sales/marketing team. This vital role will initiate prospect contact, nurture, and qualify leads for our regional sales teams. Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will work closely with the North American sales and marketing teams and be responsible for generating Sales Accepted Opportunities from prospects who have engaged with our marketing activities. You will work to optimize your calls and emails to prospects to increase contact rates. Once you make contact you will hone your selling skills to improve your qualification rate. Successful SDRs will be eligible for promotion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Nurture sales and lead pipeline to create Sales Accepted Qualified Opportunities
  • Optimize your daily activities to increase lead-to-opportunity conversion
  • Effective use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo tools to research accounts and identify key players
  • Follow-up on Marketing Qualified Leads according to our SLA (timely and thoughtful)
  • Articulate the Company's value proposition to decision-makers across multiple industries to assess buying interest.
  • Pass qualified opportunities and related information to the sales team to create an effective lead hand-off
  • Develop and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the Company technology
  • Develop effective industry-specific email templates and messages
  • Proactively and continuously consume company product and market knowledge via website, on-line webinars, and marketing information
  • Social Media Monitoring: Engaging with social media platforms, researching topics and sharing information with individuals responsible for producing the content and responses
  • Record all activity in CRM and update records as necessary

Skills and Experience:

  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Adapt quickly to change
  • Prior experience with salesforce.com CRM, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Zoominfo a plus
  • 1-3 years of Sales or Sales Support related experience (Technology industry preferred, but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required

The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical, tenacious, and can effectively interact with a team. This position has advancement potential within the organization. The compensation package includes an uncapped commission structure.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $40,000 - $50,000 base+ $20,000 - $30,000 commission (commission is uncapped) + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
