Sales Development Representative

About the role:


You’re going to help us spread the word about Decent by reaching out to companies and working to set qualified meetings with our licensed account executives. In doing so you’ll develop familiarity with our plans, industry, and health insurance at large - eventually culminating in you getting your Health & Life license and moving into a closing role yourself as an Account Executive.


What you'll do:


  • Consume all internal training to maintain strong product knowledge, high-level subject matter expertise, and key differentiators over competitors.
  • Maintain minimum daily call, InMail, email volume, or any other assigned activity to move leads down the sales funnel and ensure that your work is tracked in Salesforce.
  • Sharing back learnings from your calls to the broader team in a way that helps develop and fine tune sales and product strategies.


About you:


  • Curiosity about the absurdity of the US’s health insurance system and a passion to fix it
  • Tendency to move fast and ability to work past objections and unknowns
  • Excellent verbal, written and analytical communication skills
  • Comfortable and experienced with cold calling
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously
  • Prior inside sales experience is a plus but not required
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to learn and operate with new (to you) systems like Salesforce, Google Suite, and more.
