Renesas is seeking a results-driven, operationally oriented, and entrepreneurial-minded professional to manage our Distribution Network in America. This role will report into the Vice President of Global Distribution. As the Director of Americas Distribution, you will be accountable for positioning Renesas as the preferred supplier in our space while outperforming the market growth with our Distribution Partners.


This leader will drive the rapid acceleration of the Renesas portfolio with our Channel Partners, they will provide leadership for our Corporate Account Managers, they will grow market share through our distribution network, and they will achieve revenue objectives with appropriate growth initiatives.


The position can be based anywhere in the Americas Region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed sales budgets and critical business objectives.
  • Manage and lead the Americas Distribution Corporate Account team
  • Drive corporate distribution strategies into the Renesas field sales organization.
  • Build deep POS understanding throughout their region to support the POS forecasting process.
  • Accountability for channel POS, Inventory, and Bookings performance
  • Oversee the development of Distributor business plans that leverage the unique value propositions of each partner with the strengths of the Renesas organization.
  • Develop and build strong relationships throughout the Americas Distribution Network, collaborate with them, and hold regular business reviews at the Business Unit and Executive levels with key distributor personnel.
  • Oversee the development of Distributor Demand Creation programs that enable, motivate, and incentivize distributor personnel to design-in the Renesas portfolio.
  • Gather market intelligence and develop strategies to action opportunities.
  • Identifying areas for innovation and process improvement in all aspects of Distribution sales management

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in relevant field
  • The ideal candidate will have 15+ plus years of prior sales & leadership experience managing a Distribution partners or Region.

Skills

  • The individual must be team player who is goal-oriented and confident, with a strong understanding of how to build high-performing account team.
  • This individual must have a track record of meeting/exceeding revenue.
  • Must be Operational strong and extremely comfortable with numbers.
  • This person should be highly professional and have strong communication skills.
  • They should have existing relationships and ability to interface with senior level management
  • They should have a strong business acumen
  • Planning & negotiating skills a must
  • This individual must have the ability to build and drive consensus amongst a team, influence people throughout an organization at all levels, problem solve, and can get things done
  • Experience with software applications including Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams) and Power BI
  • Excel expertise with advanced knowledge of pivots, charts, and formulas
  • Should expect at least 50% travel.
