SUMMARY
Zappos at Work (ZAW) is growing, and we are looking for a Sales Director to help us take our business to the next level. ZAW is an innovate B2B and B2B2C program that provides safety footwear and uniform and apparel solutions to top Fortune 100 companies across the United States. As we grow, we are looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Sales Director.
This role will focus on growing the ZAW program through B2B sales outreach, sales funnel optimization, sales pipeline planning, and training and mentoring of a team of sales representatives. The ZAW B2B program is a high priority business with aggressive growth goals. This is a highly visible role that has the opportunity to deliver outsized results to drive significant value for Zappos’ trajectory.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise within the B2B industry, preferably across consumer goods such as safety footwear, uniforms, and apparel. We are looking for a bar raiser who is able to create and nurture sales opportunities, but also develop strategic planning and mentor more junior sales reps to identify these opportunities. This role is expected to be both hands on and strategic, and will reflect an ideal mix of the day to day work of building a sales pipeline with higher level planning on how to create a robust and effective sales organization.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Helping to build a world-class team of sales representatives to deliver against aggressive growth forecasts in the B2B and B2B2C industries.
Providing detailed reviews of existing sales processes and techniques, while recommending adjustments and improvements.
Applying existing industry knowledge to develop a comprehensive sales funnel, combined with tactical approaches on how to decrease the time of the sales cycle and improve the business win rate.
Coaching, mentoring and providing specific feedback to sales representatives.
Leading by example to deliver sales outputs to help shape the Zappos at Work program’s growth.
Identifying and prioritizing the most important industries and clients within the B2B safety footwear, uniform and apparel markets.
Adapting and building a portfolio of sales incentives and business models to close deals.
Communicating with leadership to identify opportunities, plan resource allocation, and build a culture of results and accountability.
Recommending innovative and novel approaches to the sales process that will take Zappos at Work to the next level.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Bachelor Degree in a related field of study, such as Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or Communications.
At least eight (8) years of experience in outside sales or B2B and/or B2C sales within the safety footwear, uniform, and apparel industries.
A deep set of industry contacts within the safety footwear, uniform, and apparel verticals.
A solid understanding of different safety footwear, uniform, and apparel B2B incentive models, sales cycles, and business requirements.
A strong ability to interpret and communicate sales funnel KPIs and metrics.
Experience recruiting, hiring and managing a sales team.
A history of developing sales pipelines and a proven successful sales record.
A proven track record of managing complex and dynamic contacts and sales cycles.
Experience sourcing, pitching, and closing deals at a large scale.
A true passion to drive sales.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Microsoft Office proficient.
WHAT REALLY EXCITES US
The base pay range for this position is $116,000 to $132,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered.
