Description


Sprout Social is looking to hire a Sales Enablement Strategist to the Marketing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of cross-functional teams across the Enterprise, Marketing, and Sales Operations organizations and report into the Manager, Revenue Enablement.

What you’ll do


  • You will be responsible for owning field-based learning programs, directly coaching Enterprise reps in simulated practice and live environments, contributing to and developing training that can be delivered to small sales teams, and acting as a voice of the field for the people that you support when it comes to training and content development. 
  • You will partner directly with first, second and third-line managers throughout the Enterprise organization to assist in the skills development of their teams. 
  • You will report to a Manager, Revenue Enablement who leads our New Hire and field sales coach team


What you’ll bring


Strategic experience in selling roles where you excelled and you possess a genuine desire to help others succeed. An understanding of a full cycle sales process at an Enterprise level and how to manage and grow accounts is critical. You understand the role of a coach and have a passion for helping others while recognizing that you are driving sales teams to achieve the broader strategic goals of the business. You love working with Sales teams and watching individuals develop their talent and skills to progress to their next role.


The minimum qualifications for this role include:


  • 4+ years experience in either a sales training/enablement role and/or sales account manager roles.
  • Experience building and delivering a training to Enterprise or fortune 100 level customer-facing teams
  • Familiar with building and maintaining strong cross-functional and stakeholder relationships.


Preferred qualifications for this role include:


  • Familiarity with building e-Learning in a Learning Management System is a plus
  • Sales methodology certification or familiarity with Challenger methodology


How you’ll grow


Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:


  • Attend Sprout Social onboarding to learn the ins and outs of the product and better understand the value that Sprout delivers to our customers
  • Get to know your fellow teammates in the Sales Enablement organization and meet with key stakeholders across Sales Development to understand current working relationships, including Director and Manager level sales leaders.
  • Familiarize yourself with Sprout’s brand, values and processes
  • Begin to familiarize yourself with how we sell at Sprout - interview sales reps, listen to Gong calls, and begin to attend sales team meeting where appropriate
  • Begin to understand Sprout’s core differentiators in the competitive marketplace


Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:


  • Successfully completed Sprout Social onboarding
  • Partner with peer mentors and coach new hires in simulated and live environments as they transition from their onboarding program into client-facing interactions
  • Regularly collaborates with Sales leaders to define clear measures of success for the training initiatives that are being delivered
  • Collaborate with the Enablement team to design, implement, and operationalize required enablement programs via e-learning modules or classroom-based sessions
  • Begin developing and facilitating training sessions based on the highest priority and needs identified within each respective Sales organization – which include but are not limited to: sales methodology, sales tools and systems, opportunity management, sales messaging and presentations, product readiness, close plans, and partnering with CS
  • Manage a “Week 4” New Hire program for the Enterprise organization


Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:


  • Serve as a field evangelist and subject matter expert while having a clear point of view on the most critical initiative-based learning needed for reps and first-line managers 
  • Advocate for key systems and tools and proactively demonstrate under-leveraged features and benefits in the field to reinforce rep awareness and usage
  • Champion organizational change management to help global team members adopt and manage through change effectively
  • Continue to build trusted relationships with Sales and cross-functional teams that you will be supporting
  • Continue to expand the library of enablement content and skills training
  • Review monthly metrics to discern the highest potential areas of opportunity for training development and intervention
  • Be an integral part of team meetings with Enterprise leadership


Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:


  • Be an indispensable partner of the Enterprise organization
  • Have a clear view of the impact your training and coaching efforts are having on the business 
  • Evolve global enablement programs to support continued growth, achievement and capability among the team
  • Consistently and reliably give and receive feedback with peers
  • Become a model contributor in Sprout's Marketing organization 
  • Be recognized as an innovator in Enablement


Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.


The base pay range for this role is $81,000.00 to $99,000.00 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives. 


Sprout’s compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.


Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
