As the Sales Enablement Trainer, AMER, you will play a key role in accelerating the effectiveness and performance of the sales organization in the Americas. You must share a passion of enabling sales team members to develop their selling skills and knowledge of Monotype’s products, value drivers and customer personas. The Sales trainer will be responsible for creating, delivering and managing sales onboarding, continuous learning, skills training and certifications. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who is passionate about learning trends, increasing sales productivity and performance via training and coaching.
What you’ll be doing:
  • This individual will contribute to all aspects of the sales enablement training program for the Americas sales team including: Needs assessments, content and program development, coaching, and delivering and documenting instructor-led sessions.
  • Ensure all new Sales team members are enabled with a strong foundation and are prepared to hit quota, reducing time to productivity. This will happen by owning onboarding and ongoing training, including account planning, product training, and selling skills training sessions.
  • Continuously evaluate training programs, identify gaps, and implement solutions to enhance sales readiness and quota attainment.
  • Partner with sales leadership to facilitate the adoption of training initiatives and determine ongoing development needs.
  • Measure program effectiveness and recalibrate based on feedback to improve: satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change, and business results (sales productivity).
  • Continuously research and improve the features and functionality of our training and content repositories in collaboration with Monotype.
  • Track and report on training progress and skills mastery to demonstrate overall performance improvement and compliance.
  • Develops, measures and reports on success metrics to assess the impact of learning programs and leverage for insights to inform future plans and priorities.
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, certification or Master’s degree in learning and development or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years’ Relevant professional experience in sales training, instructional design, sales and/or customer success, preferably in the B2B SaaS space.
  • Understanding of sales methodologies (Force Management a plus), and sales technology (salesforce.com) required.
  • Command of the Message Certified trainer a plus.
  • Continuous learner with a flexible mind-set who has demonstrated the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Self-starter with an exceptional ability to identify knowledge and capability gaps and develop strategies and tools to address them.
  • Proficiency with presentation and interactive tools for development of training materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct management authority.
  • Interest in typography and design a plus.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills and the ability to engage an audience.
