Sales Operations Analyst

Fastly has already disrupted CDN technology and now we are changing how CDN is sold. Our sales team engages in a consultative selling approach, learns the individual needs of each customer and delivers custom solutions. We focus on creating a positive customer experience in order to build long-standing relationships. If you have a successful track record in sales operations, working with a team of highly technical sales individuals to consumer web, mobile, media and enterprise companies we wish to hear from you. In this role you will be a meaningful part of our growth responsible for providing first class operational management to our Sales organization. You will help drive business plans, define sales process, analyze revenue trends & critical metrics among other special projects to enhance productivity. In addition, you will drive operational improvements in the areas of reporting, process, workflow, communication, and strategy.

What You'll Do


  • Partner with sales leadership to discover opportunities for sales process and methodology improvements while helping them run their business
  • Work closely with the Director, Sales Operations, other operations team members and the business to further develop metrics and performance indicators, improve operational cadence and items like QBRs, and drive business performance through deep business insight
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to tackle complex and strategic operational business challenges. This includes driving requirements gathering, system testing, process engineering, training and documentation, and execution for the business
  • Further develop the sales teams' operational strategy, requiring an in-depth understanding of the market and critical evaluation of priorities and execution of operational plans
  • Ownership of the creation and delivery of top-quality, audience-appropriate communication
  • Ensure that sales tools and systems (e.g. SFDC, Outreach, ZoomInfo) are organized, efficient and well-managed. Develop a high level understanding of how these systems interconnect, and work with Business Systems to direct any needed improvements or fixes
  • Work closely with Marketing Operations to ensure accurate and timely lead routing, and that sales teams have necessary information and resources for lead followup
  • Optimize sales and operational efficiency through innovative thinking, process improvement and system enhancements and industry standards sharing
  • Work with peers in all Fastly departments to identify the impact of application changes on systems and processes and how it will impact current reporting
  • Further develop account scoring, territory optimization and quota build models
  • Provide front line support for other operational functions including deal desk, contracts, finance and business systems to provide support to account executives and for common business and day to day operational situations

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of strong analytical and problem solving experience in a sales operations role, consulting role or a business analyst role
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, data manipulation, dashboard creation, and business intelligence skills with an expertise in Salesforce and MS tools (Excel)
  • Interpersonal skills across a multi-level organization - with a validated focus on being able to translate data and metrics into predictable business insight
  • Ability to drive and communicate objectives, design and execute projects, deliver easy to understand training, develop and interpret analytics, and interact effectively across all levels of a large multinational organization
  • Skilled at interpreting complex business documents/reports, build and present process documentation and training
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to network and build strong relationships with peers, senior leaders and executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a fast growing, medium-sized company a plus

  • Familiarity with SFDC, Looker, Outreach, Zoominfo, Intricately, LeadIQ, Clari

Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements

The communications team is based out of Fastly's San Francisco or Denver office.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $71,350 to $104,920.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.
