Position Title & Overview


The Sales Operations Specialist will support the Sales team by helping to streamline sales processes and collaborate across departments internally. The ideal candidate will be adept in organization, time management and enjoys collaboration with others. Taking the initiative to develop best practices is a regular opportunity to add value in this role. As the first Sales Operations professional on the team, you will work at the center of activity often between Sales and MarComm providing an opportunity to quickly learn about what we do and who we are. This is a highly-visible position with amazing growth opportunities down the line.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for understanding and supporting the sales process/procedures used by the Mediavine Sales team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in order to improve upon existing sales processes, and ultimately align to broader company goals
  • Surface and address needs within the sales organization; providing support/coordination to produce necessary deliverables
  • Collaborate with other departments like MarComm; participating in meetings and ensuring follow-up
  • Organize and maintain sales collateral for access by the sales team
  • Work with AdOps and the Data team to proactively monitor and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in reporting/data
  • Participate in the requirements gathering, implementation and automation of critical sales processes and tools
  • Support the reporting of sales results, forecasts and pipeline management
  • Be an organized communicator that can assist in supporting a variety of sales meetings, activities and events
  • Support projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time with high quality
  • Evaluate relevant industry trends and translate data into insights useful to the sales team
  • Assist in onboarding new members of the sales team
  • Required travel on an as needed basis, for our annual All Hands Retreat, Sales Retreat(s) and industry events/conferences (approx. 15%)

Location


  • Must currently live in the United States


You Have:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience
  • 4+ years professional experience in sales operations or a related field
  • An understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem; experience working with supply/demand side services, preferred
  • Strong understanding of the sales process to support the sales team
  • An ability to interpret sales data to make suggestions on how to improve processes
  • Strong organizational skills with a great attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Current experience effectively working on a remote and distributed team
  • Proven success in reducing the operational overhead of sales teams by leveraging software and automation when possible
  • Experience with sales & data visualization and marketing tools, is a plus
  • Experience using Google Workspace and Slack
  • Experience utilizing a CRM system such as Salesforce
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to solve problems, providing multiple solutions and options to move business decisions forward purposefully and accurately
  • Ability to overcome challenges with resilience and creativity
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building strong relationships with stakeholders across the company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, which includes the ability to present in front of an audience
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 15%
