Job Summary

Ascendum Solutions is growing and looking for a Sales Proposal Administrator to join our team. This new role independently leads the preparation of winning proposals through the opportunity life cycle. The job coordinates and monitors all phases of the proposal project from pre-proposal preparation to development, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

The role analyzes and develops responses to the organization's most complex, high-value request for proposals (RFPs) for both renewing and new business opportunities.

How you will make an impact:

• Leads the proposal project and manages the successful development of a high-impact proposal, focused on customer needs through effective collaboration across teams.
• Prepares customized proposals for high-value deals including drafting executive summaries, customizing existing written content and developing new content.
• Produces targeted and tailored proposals by understanding the customer needs, competitors, product strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• Creates detailed proposal management plans for complex deals and monitors all phases of the proposal project from pre-proposal strategy to development to ensure on time delivery.
• Prepares and leads effective Proposal Kickoff meetings and status calls, ensuring activities adhere to the proposal management plan and schedule. Collaborate with sales and underwriting leaders on bid decisions and opportunity strategy.
• Coordinates reviews, provides comments, and facilitate discussion among stakeholders to resolve information discrepancies and secure final approval of proposal documents.
• Writes original content and works with stakeholders to determine key messages (e.g., value proposition, win themes and other key differentiators).

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 1+ years of professional experience managing, or writing proposals, supporting captures, and/or in business development preferably within Information Technology or Digital Transformation. Examples include: SDLC, UX/UI Design, Mobile Development, QA, Data Science and Analytics.
• Technical understanding of system and solution concepts and technical terms such as Agile, system infrastructure, architecture and solution lifecycle.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others, of all levels in the organization, in a collaborative environment and contributes to decisions.
• Ability to “One-Voice” a complex proposal, taking the contributions and writing styles of many individuals and weaving them into a cohesive and compelling story that reads like it has been told by one person.
• Strong time management skills and experience with simultaneously managing multiple complex proposals from proposal planning to delivery.
• Demonstrated experience managing overlapping projects with multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate and work successfully in fast-paced environment, deadline-driven atmosphere.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with top-notch business writing and copyediting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
