WHAT WE SEEK
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Measurement Science, the Associate Director of Measurement Science will primarily focus on our entertainment vertical while also supporting additional sectors of the business. This role will lead the operations of brand and agency sales in close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and operational teams. With a customer-centric approach, the Associate Director will manage the measurement process from client ideation to implementation, addressing the unique needs and challenges of our customers. The ideal candidate will leverage their emotional intelligence, persuasiveness, and operational excellence to effectively serve thousands of internal and external customers relying on Samba TV's proprietary viewership insights for informed business decisions. This position will oversee a team dedicated to custom measurement and actionable insights for evaluating advertiser campaign performance, as well as contribute to broader research initiatives at Samba.


WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • This position will initially focus on overseeing client delivery and establishing world-class ad effectiveness measurement processes. As the role evolves, there will be opportunities to manage and lead a team of 1-3 analytics professionals, providing mentorship and guidance while developing comprehensive workflow documentation.
  • Lead client engagements at the most senior level, routinely engaging with C-Suite executives at publishers, brands, agencies and ad tech platforms
  • Partner with GTM teams and marketing to properly position Samba measurement capabilities and support Head of Measurement initiatives
  • Help drive strategy around, cross platform, attribution, and other forms of innovative measurement
  • Actively evangelize Samba data and measurement capabilities in client engagements, marketing efforts and at industry events as well as visionary leadership around the use of Samba TV’s measurement
  • Tell stories through data, and create measurement learning agendas to grow client partnerships; drafting of proposals and statements of work for new opportunities with existing clients
  • Be an expert on Audience and Outcome Measurement methodologies and industry standards, both inside and outside of Samba (particularly tune-in attribution methodology)
  • Proven track record and comfortability in a client facing role, a deep understanding of the advanced TV and video ecosystems, along with an expertise in audience based buying
  • Work in deep partnership with Data Science and Product teams alongside Head of Measurement to create better measurement products that advance the industry (focus on entertainment, tel-comm, travel)
  • Lead meta-analysis and large bespoke measurement engagements
  • Develop measurement learning agendas to drive the growth and maintain key client accounts
  • Balance changing priorities and execution of multiple research studies at once; manage deliverables and timelines
  • Possess a willingness to support team members and dive into a player-coach role as needed to maintain delivery schedules and hit delivery goals
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and execute studies
  • Educate internal and external teams on the benefits and capabilities of Sambas suite of measurement products


WHO YOU ARE
  • BA/BS or MS in related technical field or equivalent practical experience 
  • 4+ years in ad effectiveness, media measurement, and guiding client actions based on data 
  • 2+ years of experience leading research delivery team
  • Demonstrated technical acumen; ability to influence and debate solutions with technical team members, to understand technology solutions and potential tradeoffs, and to represent technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client presentations and industry events
  • Ability to develop keen client insight and actionable recommendations based on research, data, and industry trends
  • Cross-functional solid leadership; ability to excite, influence and align other teams to achieve goals
  • Experience with both outcomes and audiences measurement capabilities
  • Experience in the TV, Media, Entertainment, or digital advertising spaces
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of identity resolution and programmatic advertising.
  • Proficiency utilizing Salesforce, Jira, Asana, or other CRM and project management software.


$138,000 - $165,000 a year
Samba TV expects to offer a base salary between $138,000 - $165,000 USD per year for roles to be performed in New York or California; actual base salary offered will depend on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Base salary is just one component of Samba TV’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, short-term incentives and long-term incentives. In addition, Samba provides health insurance, wellness offerings, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), and other employee benefits.
