Sam's Club is hiring for Senior Data ScientistThe role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and product managers to translate qualitative requirements into quantitative ones. You'll design scalable and robust end-to-end ML solutions, focusing on experimental design and testing frameworks in E-commerce and marketing. Your responsibilities include proposing technical solutions and ML architectures based on business requirements, identifying optimal data sources, designing and implementing data strategies, deploying and scaling ML models for personalization and recommendation projects, and developing efficient and reusable code components. Additionally, you'll develop and validate ML models to improve business objectives.What you'll do:• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to convert qualitative requirements into quantitative ones.• Design end-to-end ML solutions that are scalable and robust.• Have experience in experimental design and understand general testing frameworks in E-commerce and marketing spaces.• Propose technical solutions and ML architectures based on business requirements.• Identify optimal data sources for projects.• Design and implement data strategies for both short-term and long-term plans.• Deploy and scale ML models for personalization and recommendation projects.• Develop efficient and reusable code components.• Develop and validate ML models that improve business objectives.What you'll bring:• Acute business intuition in personalization and recommendation spaces.• Strong and efficient data engineering capabilities leveraging SQL and PySpark.• Knowledge of experimental design, such as AB testing.• Experience with both supervised and unsupervised learning modeling techniques.• Experience with ML Ops concepts and implementations.• Experience with model deployment and model monitoring frameworks.• Strong communication skills with both engineering and business partners on topics such as DS achievements and challenges.Minimum Qualifications:• Master's Degree in statistics/mathematics, engineering, computer science, economics, or related field, and 2~3 years of industrial working experience in data and modeling-related positions OR PhD Degree in Quantitative related field.• Proficient coding skills; 4+ years of professional experience with SQL and Python.• Deep knowledge of relational database capabilities.• Experience with cloud computing services like GCP, AWS, or Azure.• Experience in integrating, structuring, and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources.• Experience with supervised and unsupervised predictive modeling algorithms.• Strong project management skills and attention-to-detail documentation skills.• Strong written & verbal communication with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to a range of audiences and to 'tell a story' that provides insight into the business.• Passion for working in a fast-paced agile environment.• A collaborative mindset and sense of curiosity.About Walmart:Sam Walton opened the first Sam's Club in 1983 to meet a growing need among customers who wanted to buy merchandise in bulk.
