We know you're ready for more.As the Manager, Finance for Sam's Club Supply Chain you will...• Provide strategic input to the financial planning process by preparing financial analysis and modeling; recommending future expense targets; and planning and analyzing business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas.• Communicate with functional areas to understand significant variations; documenting and preparing results for presentation; and providing follow-up or answering any questions regarding financial issues.• Manage complex control structures to mitigate risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring at various stages; participating on cross functional teams to develop new processes; ensuring proper controls are present in new and existing financial functions; and working to enhancereporting transparency of company financial systems.• Manage input for business decisions by producing financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations; participating in business case presentations to senior and executivemanagement; and communicating forecasts, assumptions, and variances to senior management.• Collaborate with senior management to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives; providing feedback to management regarding risks associated with financial projects; supporting business unit budget process; and providing insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends.• Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executingbusiness processes and practices.You will Make an Impact By...• Working closely with controllership team and operations on monthly close processes and a nalyze month end financial data to provide insights into the company's financial performance.• Maintaining the forecasting process by analyzing recent expenditures and commitments; providing actionable insights based on the results.• Stewarding the short- and long-term financial planning processes to finalize budgets, conduct budget review meetings, and present information to the Leadership to help leaders track to their annual targets.• Working collaboratively with business partners to drive strategy and execution of high priority, initiatives, owning development and reporting of key financial KPIs• Improving operational processes within the Supply Chain Team and identifying opportunities for optimization or automation.• Provide input for decisions by producing financial models that translate non-financial metrics to financial metrics by incorporating assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities.• Have strong problem-solving ability combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate clearly and influence leadership teams.• Being organized, meticulous, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.You will Sweep Us Off Our Feet If...• You are organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously in matrix organization.• You have an ability to learn financial systems to participate in forecasting and reporting processes.• You can help build and produce models that support accurate forecasting over varying horizons.• You have a process improvement mentality and can identify business drivers, root cause, etc.• You have the interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate interaction with various management.• You can work through ambiguity and deliver simplified variance explanations (storytelling) using data.• You a broad business view, high degree of curiosity and a holistic view of the businessYou Should have:• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field OR 3 years of relevant experience• Technical skillset: proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
