DescriptionThe Buyer independently performs duties related to the purchase of schools supplies, materials, equipment, and services in assigned buying areas.There is currently one (1) 40 hour/12 month position available:• Working location: Strategic Sourcing Department• Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 12 months per year• Qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employee and dependentsThis is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list. For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).The Buyer will be paid on the OTBS Salary Schedule. Salary Grade: 048.
