About the Role:

The San Francisco Giants are looking for a Part-Time IT Assistant, someone who is ready to learn and grow in the IT field.  We would look for this person to provide front line technical support, responsible for fielding, assigning, and/or resolving questions and requests.  The role will assist in the roll-out and support of all company-issued computers, desk & mobile phones, printers, and other devices throughout Oracle Park & around the world. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate in all forms: in person, phone calls, e-mails, and online messages.  This person must work well in a team environment – from the Helpdesk Team to the IT Dept as a whole – while also taking on small tasks and challenges independently.


This role reports to the Helpdesk Manager.  This position will be an on-site role, located in our beautiful ballpark headquarters at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco.

·        You will provide Tier 1-2 Helpdesk support, fielding IT Helpdesk requests and responding in a timely manner.

·        You will log all activities in our Helpdesk software and assign tickets to the appropriate technicians as needed.

·        You will setup, install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, and printer hardware.

·        You will perform basic software support: Windows 10/11 OS, Mac OS, MS-Office Apps, and Google Workplace Cloud Apps, among others.

·        You are passionate about technology and want to bring your skills into a fun and fast-paced environment.

·        You will assist the Ballpark Operations department in their goal for LEED certification for Oracle Park by properly preparing and recycling older equipment no longer in use.

·        You will document standard support procedures and update inventory records.

·        The organization continues to work with its employees to provide a work-life balance.

 

 Qualifications

·        Experience (Education/Degree, Certification, and/or prior Employment) in a technology related field is preferred.

·        Enthusiasm for computers/technology combined with a solid work ethic.

·        Strong communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver both 1on1 and company-wide messages.

·        Ability to consistently work on-site at Oracle Park.

·        Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively, in fast-paced, ever changing, deadline driven environment.

·        Proficient in supporting Windows & Mac Operating systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Networked Printers, Fresh Service, Slack, and Zoom.

·        Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs (i.e. Baseball game shifts – held on nights, weekends & holidays.)

·        Willingness for the potential to travel as needed to support our staff in Arizona.

·        Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.

$22 - $24 an hour
At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The hourly rate for this position will be $24.00 / hour

In addition to your pay, the San Francisco Giants believe in providing a competitive total rewards package for its employees. After 60 days of employment, employees may be eligible for indemnity healthcare through Healthy SF, which includes medical, dental and prescription coverage. Employees are also eligible for EAP and commuter benefits. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and the terms of official plan documents which may be modified or amended from time to time.
