Overview
This role is responsible building a strategic plan, business case, program structure, and project plan for a corporate initiative at a large enterprise organization. This role requires consulting experience with knowledge of operations and learning and development functions as well as digitization processes and systems. This role will assess and evaluate how the organization will digitize a large volume of documents to generate compliance, safety and workforce reporting.
This position is a short-term consulting engagement for 2-3 months and is remote working mostly central time zone hours but could work across other time zones. The role requires executive presence, professionalism, team collaboration, and strong experience in business case development, digitization systems, program management methodology, operations and learning and development. This role will be solely responsible for building the strategic plan, business case, program structure and project plan. MS PowerPoint and Excel skills are required.
Responsibilities
· Hold stakeholder interviews and assess needs. Document each discussion in detail and summarize business needs.
· Establish plan to accomplish tasks/deliverables for this engagement, efficiently. Document program deliverables utilizing PMI or PMP methodology
· Identify data needs and coordinate with applicable points of contact to collect and accurately interpret information.
· Analyze and synthesize collected information, then document findings.
· Partner with cross functional resources to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
· Facilitate, document, and lead project meetings and manage stakeholders’ communication
· Build regular project status documents for executive leadership teams
· Identify program KPIs to assess impact Develop strategic plan, and business case with ROI.
· Develop program structure and project plan with timelines in MS PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project. Document program deliverables utilizing PMI or PMP methodology
· Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning & accountability for project roadmaps and execution strategy
· Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements
· Assess and recommend digitization tools/systems and processes.
· Hold regular check-ins with Sand Cherry and client leadership. Collect feedback and incorporate into final deliverable.
· Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project deliverables.
· Own overall delivery of project deliverables, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goals.
· Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Requirements
Candidates must have strong experience in strategic planning, business case development, program and/or project management gained through managing other enterprise level projects. They must have the following:
• Minimum 6-7 years project or program management experience managing multiple workstreams, ideally in large companies in the Operations and Learning and Development space
• Consulting experience is important and the ability to be executive facing with numerous stakeholders
• Proven knowledge of digitization systems/tools, as well as project and program management methodology
• Experience in the L&D function understanding training programs and processes is helpful
• Excellent oral and written communications skills to stakeholders including the ability to influence, strategize, negotiate and present materials succinctly
• Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives
• Minimum of 7 years of consulting and program/project management experience and experience with formal project management methodology
• Experience working with stakeholders across a large and complex organization
• Bachelor’s in Business, Project Management, Communications, or related is required
• PMP certification is preferred
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a short-term consulting engagement for 2-3 months on a 1099 with an hourly range of $80-90/hour. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
