Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and collaborative video content developer to conceptualize, plan, and produce high-quality multimedia for use in both internal and external training contexts. The ideal candidate is confident owning the video production process from start to finish, driven to create visually appealing and engaging video content, and well-versed in the knowledge and use of current camera and editing equipment.
Responsibilities: - Concept Ideation and Development: Work collaboratively with Instructional Designers (IDs) and Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs) to distill complex processes and components into discrete video topics. Think creatively about how to express topics clearly, accurately, and visually. Develop, script, and storyboard content. Content should reflect and embody established Saronic brand and tone guidelines.
- Production Planning: Work with IDs and SMEs to plan and schedule video shoots with minimal impact to Saronic’s manufacturing processes. Ensure video production (including post-processing) is complete within deadlines. Produce forms and attain signatures necessary to ensure proper permissions are in place.
- Capturing Content: Conduct video shoots on-location or in a studio setting. Ensure all equipment is set up and maintained for optimal performance. Establish ideal lighting, angles, and framing to capture clear and compelling content. Direct on-camera activity performed by SMEs and others. Record necessary audio.
- Video Post-Processing: Use industry-standard software for all post-processing tasks, including video editing, color grading and correction, and sound mixing and editing. Create motion graphics and other visual effects to enhance and clarify content. Collaborate to iteratively develop final cuts which are accurate and effective.
Qualifications:- Extensive experience planning, shooting, and editing short-form video content, particularly in manufacturing, training, documentary, or other educational media
- High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video software
- Expertise in creating motion graphics and other visual effects using Adobe After Effects or similar software
- Strong knowledge of camera operation, composition, lighting, and sound recording techniques
- Familiarity with photography principles and techniques
- Awareness of proper legal forms and permissions necessary for filming and distributing proprietary content
- Comfortable working independently, prioritizing workflow, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Graphic design experience a plus
- Experience producing media for AR/VR a plus
