Job Description And Duties Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) Supervisory is responsible to manage information gathering, analysis, and recommendations on program development pertaining to apprenticeship expansion, regional leadership, and industry partnerships. Provides high-level outreach workforce expertise and technical assistance, supporting workforce apprenticeship initiatives, and identifying and promoting best practices and lessons learned in program development at the state, regional, and local levels to increase equitable access for registered apprenticeship programs in California.This unit operates like a think outside the box, entrepreneurial, organization. Air-conditioned, high-rise building with elevator access, cubicle with natural and artificial lighting. Indoor cubicle office environment for several hours a day. Be in a stationary position for long periods of time. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer, as necessary, for email communication, research, drafting performance management documents, evaluations, annual reviews, and other administrative duties.
