Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Power Systems ArchitectThis position is within the US Business Operations, Power Systems BU. Ideal location for candidate is in the Northeast, Ohio Valley, or Mid-South regions of the US. Power Systems Architects are experts in electrical distribution and associated technology; they possess a deep understanding of customer support, commercial strategy, and business operations. This is a critical role in support of the National Sales Force (NSF) in the pursuit of large, strategic and complex Power Systems opportunities.MissionAs a part of the US Power Systems team, this role is responsible for supporting the NSF through early opportunity pipeline creation via input from multiple sources, developing and leading pursuit strategies for qualified opportunities and providing technical support through design optimization, equipment bid strategy and formal training.Key Responsibilities Include• Build early opportunity pipeline through input from sales, marketing, and 3rd party databases• Qualify opportunities based on Power Systems strategic objectives• Develop pursuit strategies with a focus on driving early engagement, promoting targeted product offerings and cross-BU collaboration• Lead opportunities through Customer Project Process (CPP) from pre-sales and tendering to project execution• Coach individual sellers on best sales practices• Provide formal product training and be an informal technical sales resource on power systems topics• Evaluate market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities; adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing and competitive conditions.• Utilize business and financial knowledge to create value propositions• Execute competitive sales tactics to win business• Execute competitive sales tactics to win businessQualifications• Requires BA degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent experience• 6+ years industry experience in electrical distribution sales or related technical role• Advanced knowledge of MV and LV distribution equipment and power systems architecture• Highly motivated self-starter with strong personal leadership and communication skills• Strong business and analytical skills• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities• Knowledge of Schneider Electric offerings is a plusWe encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
