We’re looking for a passionate, experienced and skilled Scrum Master to help us lead the digital transformation within Schneider Electric’s North America Market (NAM). You will become part of the Enterprise IT team working with business teams, as well as respective Program Management teams as an AGILE & SCRUM expert. You will help us define, plan and deliver iterative releases of our digital platforms. You will work closely with Development, Product Management, Operations, and QA teams. The position will sponsor international mobilityAreas of responsibility• The Scruim Master supports and champions Agile & Scrum.• Guide the team on self-organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.• Drive the daily development progress, conduct daily Stand-ups, identify and remove roadblocks, and monitor the scrum processes and scrum meetings.• Ensure User Stories are detailed, working with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the backlog regularly.• Responsible for helping the team break down and detail roadmap items into Sprint deliverable User Stories at the team level, facilitate discussions, decision making, and manage conflict resolution.• Negotiate with Development and QA, ensuring what is developed can be tested and ultimately delivered within the Sprint.• Assist in triaging critical bugs that could impact the Sprint.• Be the organizational leader for the team, providing support to the team so they can be fully functional and productive, removing impediments or shielding team from interference.• Teach Agile & Scrum methodologies and provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style, leading by example.• Support the release train engineer and collaborate with other scrum leads to identify and resolve systemic barriers as well as opportunities leveraging successes.• The Scrum Master is required to increase team efficiency, motivate the team(s), argue for changes that will ensure quality and timeliness, and ensure the Definition of Done (DoD)is being followed to deliver the most value to the customer.Experience Requirement:• Candidates considered for this role should have a BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) plus 3-5 years of experience applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.• This role requires an understanding of, and experience, in applying a variety of basic concepts and techniques of iterative development, software development processes and procedures. You will bring experience in backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity and task definition.• As the SCRUM MASTER you will understand the value of commitments to delivery made by the R&D team. As the SCRUM MASTER you will be familiar with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and best development practices.• The SCRUM MASTER will have between 1 and 3 teams to lead. The SCRUM MASTER will be in the Agile Release Train Scrum of Scrums to represent the team(s).• Must have excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.• Awareness and experience with other Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.Additional qualities we desire include the following:• Servant Leader - Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done• Communicative and Social - Must be able to communicate well with teams• Facilitative - Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team, guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization• Assertive - Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.• Contextually Aware - Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management• Enthusiastic - Must be high-energy• Flexible and Unflappable - Must be responsive and adaptable to rapid and unplanned change, remaining calm and leading the team in the new direction• Transparent and Trustworthy - Must be able to build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solvingThis position offers a hybrid onsite work arrangement at our Franklin, TN location.
