The Smart Factory Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the incorporation and uptake of digital technologies, referred to as Smart Factory Minimum Mandatory Requirements (MMRs). These MMRs comprise standard hardware and software tools covering IIoT, Cloud, Mobility, and Analytics. The role will involve participating in and facilitating the execution of these deployment activities within their facility. Additionally, the individual will collaborate with regional and global teams to define manufacturing process strategies in North America.What will you do?• Digital Transformation Leader Expectations:• Understand Yearly MMR requirements to reach the Standard and/or Advance Level Manufacturing Production Systems and Smart Factory Minimum Mandatory requirements.• Develop & Communicate the SF Road-map of the Site Plan for internal site resources.• Lead the deployment Smart Factory Tools (MMR) in the site. – Execution and adoption.• Continuously update Smart Factory Tracker and A3 – (At least once per month).• Present site progress on the Bi-Monthly Governance (P1)• Work with SF Leaders to report savings from Smart Tools.• Validate adoption of Smart Tools to realize ROI. • Support - Training plant resources to expand MMR implementations.• Change Management - Fostering adoption of MMR within the facility.• Strategy - Communicating status of MMR adoption including roadblocks.• Required Skills• Elevated level of 4IR Digital Acumen• Experience with deploying IoT methods - including equipment modifications to enable IoT methods.• Experience with cybersecurity.• Knowledge of Machine Learning, particularly in manufacturing processes.• ERP Experience• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) functionality• SAP knowledge is a bonus.• MES Experience• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) functionality.• Change Management• Experience leading digital adoption in cross-functional environments.• Who will you report to? Manufacturing Engineering Manager.What qualifications will make you successful for this role?• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related field is required.• 3-5 years of experience as a leader in the field of digital transformation and/or industrial processes• Working knowledge of 4IR technologies and their application.• Experience with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure offerings is a bonus.• Experience with PLCs and Machine control architecture is a bonus.• Cloud applications• AWS / Azure experience is a bonus• SE IDS experience is a bonusWe know skills and competencies show up in many ways and can be based on your life experience.
