Primary job function
We seek a highly motivated scientist with experience in oncology biologics to contribute to AbbVie’s growing presence in the Immuno-Oncology field. This individual should have deep technical experience in immunology and oncology research with preferred experience in immune cell redirection platforms. This person will ensure scientific excellence, quality and completeness of key platform initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate in a multidisciplinary research team in an exciting, fast-paced discovery-oriented environment.
Practical experience in primary cell culture, T cell based assays, molecular biology techniques is required. Additionally expertise in molecular biology, T cell biology and oncology research experience is desirable. Skills include, but not limited to: flow cytometry (FACs), PCR, qPCR, ELISA, Luminex, retroviral/lentiviral based transduction systems, western blot techniques, protein detection systems. Highly developed written and communication skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative team setting is essential.
Education Requirements
Degree in molecular/cellular biology or related field; BS and 5-10+ years of experience or MS and 3-5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or academia. Demonstrated excellence and productivity in independent research. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Level commensurate with experience.
