WHY CHA?:
Responsibility connects us, empowers us, binds us to our community, and challenges us to do what is right. Clean water, safe roads, efficient energy, resilient power sources, and buildings that enhance their surroundings – these are significant responsibilities we take to heart.
At CHA, we believe in responsibly improving the world we live in, and we ask our team to aspire to that ideal every day. At the foundation of our responsibility is our commitment to inclusion and diversity and choosing to treat everyone with dignity and equality. We also take accountability for making decisions that promote sustainability in our business and our designs. We are on a mission to reduce our environmental footprint and bring greener solutions to our clients. We believe it is our responsibility and work to do that each day.
We are currently seeking a Scientist I to join our Environmental Team from Colonie, NY.
YOUR IMPACT:
CHA is uniquely qualified to assist any client with environmental services. From initial site characterization through remediation, CHA draws on the expertise of staff team members that possess considerable environmental site assessment and remediation experience. We have been providing environmental consulting services for over 25 years, and we employ a team of approximately 100 scientists and engineers who keep abreast of current regulatory issues.
At CHA, our Scientists are experts with company and client methods, standard operating procedures, reporting templates, and practices. As a result, these individuals play an important role in evaluating the potential impact of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Our Scientists conduct field work and prepare information to be utilized by managers, colleagues, clients, and even public information meetings and hearings. While in the office, these individuals work on data analysis, reporting, and completion of permits alongside mentors.
Additionally, our Scientists collect samples, provide drilling oversight, and construction operation assistance. They collect, analyze, and report on geological, hydrological, biological, or other scientific conditions at the proposed project site to identify the impact on the environment.
