The Obesity, Muscle and Metabolism (OMM) group at Regeneron is committed to discovering novel targets and innovative medicines to treat diabetes, dyslipidemia and obesity. We are looking for a motivated Scientist who will contribute to an in vitro group focused on implementing new technology platforms and providing molecular biology expertise for the department.
As a Scientist in Muscle and Metabolism, a typical day may include the following:
Application of molecular biology and cell biology expertise towards the implementation of novel enabling technologies
Developing and validating cell-based and biochemical assays
Providing molecular and cellular biology support to team members, when needed
Performing common procedures such as cell culture, flow cytometry, and expression/affinity purification of recombinant proteins
Pay attention to details and have good organizational skills, to manage multiple projects.
Think critically, enjoy a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working with challenging projects.
Proficient with commonly used software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, DNA analysis software)
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
To be considered for this position, you must have MS with 6-8 years OR BS with 8-10 years of full-time relevant experience. A strong background in molecular and cellular biology with expertise in assay development is preferred.
