About the Role

We're hiring a Kubernetes Architect. Your mission will be to help us transition to a DevOps model by assessing our current environment and successfully implementing Kubernetes; then focus on building platforms for our newest AI features and system builds. Our shared services infrastructure team is at the forefront of our expansion plans over the next 12 months. Our Stack: AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, MySQL, MongoDB, Datadog, Python, Solr  

What You Will Do Over the First 12 Months

• Implement and optimize Kubernetes and become an expert in SearchStax infrastructure

• Build platforms for our latest AI features and improve system builds 

• Partner closely with our SWE teams to manage the art and science between speed, flexibility, security and availability

• Engineer and architect solutions to complex problems within our AWS infrastructure

• Actively mentor less experienced team members

• Participate in a weekly 24/7 on-call rotation

What You Must Have 

• About 7+ years of experience managing (ideally) SaaS infrastructure

• Experience architecting Kubernetes solutions (not just a PoC)

• Ability to architect and implement end-to-end container management

• Great communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence others

• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and Microservices

• Expert level experience writing scripts for automation

• A Computer Science degree (Masters preferred) or equivalent experience

Pay Transparency

• Base Salary: The initial base salary for this role is estimated to range from $120,000 to $150,000.

• Salary Structure: Our salary ranges are determined by market analysis and are designed to evolve with job performance over time.

• Additional Benefits: Beyond base salaries, SearchStax employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, with potential for equity and performance-based bonuses.
