Senior Community Manager

Who We Are

Second Dinner is an award-winning independent game development studio that is here to make the most fun games in the world. Not super fun games. Not SUPER DUPER fun games. We mean the MOST fun games. In fact, our game MARVEL SNAP has earned multiple Mobile Game of the Year Awards (Game Awards, DICE), Best Strategy Game (IGN), and the Apple Design Award for Innovation!

Second Dinner is a remote-first studio, so while we are headquartered in Irvine, California, most of our team is fully remote across the United States. We want the most talented teammates wherever they call home. A diverse team with varied perspectives makes us a better company and will help us make better games. If you can bring something new to the table and expand our point of view, that's a huge upside.

Community Means Everything to Us

At Second Dinner, we hold our player community close to our hearts. Our Senior Community Manager interacts with players, making sure their feedback is acknowledged and their concerns are addressed, resulting in a positive community around the world for both the game AND the studio. The Community Manager collaborates with various internal teams, such as design, art, and engineering, to express player sentiment and contribute towards making the game the BEST it can be.

  • Gathering Game Assets as Needed for marketing needs

  • Organize and execute community events, to celebrate milestones, launch new content, and foster a sense of community.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in community management or related roles

  • Copywriting and/or editing skills

  • Passion for MARVEL SNAP and understanding its community

  • Experience working with content creators, external moderators, and/or highly engaged player/VIP or ambassador programs

  • Patience, caring, and understanding: Sometimes players are happy with us, and sometimes they’re not. In all cases, we always listen and try our best to make the right decisions based on our belief that we’re here to make the MOST FUN games that stand the test of time.

  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming communities.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing online communities.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, forums, and community management tools.

  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to Have, But Not Necessary:

  • Examples of creating content, such as blog posts, newsletters, or social media posts

  • On-camera experience is a plus as the opportunity to appear in videos or streams may present themselves

  • Experience monitoring community metrics and interpreting those reports on engagement, sentiment, and growth that are most relevant and impactful.

  • Understanding the needs/desires/motivations of a wide variety of global gamers
