Security Administrative Support Associate - Intermediate Level

Why USAA?

We are seeking a dedicated Security Administrative Support Associate - Intermediate Level for our San Antonio Home office. The candidate selected for this position will work with the Security Operations and Investigations Team in the USAA Home Office Security Admin Office. They will work with Protective Security applications to assist USAA employee, contractors and visitors with various security services and products.

Within defined guidelines and framework, provides general support services and routine analysis to assigned unit and performs administrative activities for projects and programs.

The Opportunity

What you'll do:

  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • Performs various administrative duties in support of the department to include mail distribution, invoice processing, inventory and supply control and restocking, scheduling activities, general clerical work and phone support.

  • Supports development and modifications of basic presentations and may create some presentations with guidance.

  • Maintains basic spreadsheets, reports, logs and process documents.

  • Collects data and generates management information reports.

  • Prepares standard paperwork such as correspondence, forms, bills, statements, receipts, checks or other documents using established procedures.

  • Ensures office equipment is properly maintained and serviced.

  • Provides information in support of requests regarding department projects, programs, and/or events.

  • Coordinates, documents, monitors, and supports a variety of meetings and conferences to include, but not limited to, scheduling and set up of physical and virtual meetings.

  • Protects operations by maintaining and keeping confidential information confidential

  • Use all Microsoft Office Products, such as, Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, and Outlook, to service the organization with databases, meeting recordings, audits, and any correspondence

What you have:

  • High School Diploma OR General Equivalency Diploma required.

  • 1 years related work experience in clerical or administrative support work.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials/ information.

  • Working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, like Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.

  • Knowledge and hands on experience with office procedures such as accounting, scheduling, filling, sorting

  • Experience with billing/accounts payable and receivable.

  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and handle multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment

What sets you apart:

  • Experience using the following applications: CCURE, Enterprise Visitor Information Management System (EVIMS), Secure Room Tool (SRT) and Microsoft Office suite

  • Knowledge and experience with Business Risk and control execution, Compliance and Audit Activities, ID badge production, Access Control management processes, and order/maintain office supplies

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $45,010.00 - $64,310.00.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
