Worker Designation
– This role is an onsite role. You will be required to work at the Aflac Support Center Campus in Columbus, GA during your set working schedule.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers, exchange information and understand and transmit instructions


  • Demonstrated knowledge of public security practices and procedures, and other applicable safety laws and regulations


  • Successful completion of an annual physical fitness exam


  • Successful completion of CPR/First Aid & AED certification every two years


  • Successfully pass Federal Aviation Administration background check and possess AOA aviation badge


  • Successful completion of annual taser training including Use of Force Training and taser familiarization training


Education & Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One to two years of job related experience - Security, Law Enforcement, or Military
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license and a good driving record and the ability to maintain insurability with company insurance carrier
  • Successful completion of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) Certified Protection Officer (CPO) correspondence course within 24 months of entering role

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises


  • Warns persons of rule infractions or violations


  • Answers alarms and investigates disturbances


  • Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property


  • Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons


  • Operates detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas


  • Answers telephone to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed


  • Refers any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences to supervisor


  • Performs other duties as required


Total Rewards

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $31,200 to $60,000.


In addition to the base salary, we offer an array of benefits to meet your needs including medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, health care flexible spending, dependent care flexible spending, Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee), 401(k) plans, annual bonuses, and an opportunity to purchase company stock. On an annual basis, you’ll also be offered 11 paid holidays, up to 20 days PTO to be used for any reason, and, if eligible, state mandated sick leave (Washington employees accrue 1 hour sick leave for every 40 hours worked) and other leaves of absence, if eligible, when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being. Aflac complies with all applicable leave laws, including, but not limited to sick and safe leave, and adoption and parental leave, in all states and localities.
